Meal Programmes

Being among the top independent schools in Canada, UC has a rich tradition of taking care of the nutritional well-being of its students. Full-day students enjoy lunch in their classrooms with staggered start times beginning with primary and junior grades, then lastly Middle grade. High School students have a common lunch. Students in Elementary at our Unionville Campus may bring their own lunch or pre-purchase lunch from an independent catering company that is contracted to UC. Students at our Stouffville Campus have the additional option of purchasing a meal from our health smart cafeteria. Good nutrition, conservation of the environment, independence, grace and courtesy are significant considerations during the lunch hour.

Elementary School Milk Programme (ESMP)

The goal of the Elementary School Milk Programme (ESMP) is to make fresh, cold milk available at school for students to enjoy.

Schools get involved because milk helps give kids the nutrition and energy they need to concentrate and perform their best. The ESMP also helps foster school spirit and offers senior students hands-on leadership experience.
