Senior Casa HeadStart Science – A Unique Learning Opportunity!

Providing unique, relevant learning opportunities to children continues to be an important hallmark of Unionville College. Children graduating from a Montessori programme deserve a Grade One setting that is not only stimulating, but personalized to their strengths and focused on their needs. To this end, children in their graduating Montessori year have learning experiences enriched within an elementary school setting. Within the UC elementary school, Senior Casa students attend a fully equipped science lab and are instructed by an Ontario certified science teacher. Geared to the noted capabilities of the children, the programme is designed to be highly engaging, employing hands-on experiments coupled with SmartBoard technology. Participating in this programme helps our young scientists be ready to begin their enriched Grade 1 programme at UC with enthusiasm and an enhanced set of learning skills.
