Music Fest Canada 2018 is coming to Toronto in May and our choirs and bands have qualified for this prestigious event. MusicAlive, the regional exhibition, was, once again, hosted at UC on April 23. Five schools from our area, along with a team of adjudicators, arrived on Monday morning to begin a day of band music. UC won three silver medals, an excellent achievement. Congratulations!
Our school has a longstanding tradition of both hosting and attending musical events in our region, city and beyond. We look forward to receiving coaching from world-class adjudicators, experiencing various musical performances and styles and participating in festivals.
We encourage parents to attend MusicFest. It really is a fantastic experience to see our students shine at a national event. We’d like to thank our music department for all their hard work in getting the students prepared. It is a very comprehensive and intensive programme to run, but our students are always prepared and perform beautifully.
