UC’s Primary, Junior, and Appassionata Choirs recently attended the premier festival of Canada York Region Music Alive Invitational, 2019, and we are pleased to report on their wonderful achievements.
Our Appassionata Choir received a GOLD standing and has qualified for the prestigious MUSICFEST competition which will take place in Ottawa later this spring. The world-class adjudicator even commented on the complexity of music they sang and how accomplished and developed their voices were. Our Junior Choir also received a GOLD standing and received comments complimenting their unified sound having very good dynamic control. Our Primary Choir received a SILVER PLUS award which celebrated these singers and their development of round and singing in harmony.
