Art is a feeling – What’s your word?

Arts & technology programs at UC

As a cross-curricular connection between Art & Technology programmes, students in grade four have had the opportunity to explore and share their feelings about what they are experiencing during these Covid times. They were asked to think of a word and a connection and then follow the design process to create their masterpiece using: complimentary colours, balance, creativity, and colour blending while using pencil crayons or oil pastels. Students were given the opportunity to share why they elected their individual word which generated open and heartfelt discussions.

In Technology class, students will use Tinkercad to create a 3D model application and then their model rendering will be used on the Laser Cutter. We look forward to seeing the students’ art work come to life in their 3D wooden design words.
